Patricio Domínguez, academic of the school of engineering of Pontificia Universidad Católica, the migratory phenomenon in Chile is the most relevant socio-demographic change in recent years. In our republican history we have not had such an intense migratory influx as in the last decade, and so far, we know very little about its repercussions. However, the population’s perceptions have been formed  on the basis of different experiences, and it is worthwhile to analyze them.
